Isn't the weather gorgeous?! Spring certainly seems to have arrived, though like many people, I can't help wondering if there isn't one last snowstorm around the corner. It has certainly been an easier winter than some in recent memory, and with Daylight Savings Time kicking in March 14th, hope is definitely in the air.
The spring real estate market is very much underway and sales for both January and February have been up compared to last year. The latest data from the Ottawa Real Estate Board tells us that last month, 1,118 residential properties were sold through the MLS (Multiple Listing Service), which is a 42% increase over February 2009.
This brings this year's total residential properties sold so far to 1,838, with the market continuing to favour sellers.
